Non-Profit Status

Update:

  • We heard back from the IRS for more information needed: how much time we spend on social or recreational activities and demographics of our group.

All the board members voted yes to raise it to $35 - Begins July 1st.

We will have insurance

Need Committee ASAP

Gather volunteers for this:

  • Will post a “Join the committee” signup on website this weekend

Event Insurance 

Updates: 

  • One day insurance if we cannot get 501c3 by pumpfest we will need this 

    • $1500

  • Mentioned general liability policy we will be having next year once our non-profit status gets approved

    • Spearfish community was psyched on Spearfish Scramble Event 

      • Might be a next year as this is pretty short notice.

Fundraising Idea:

License plate 

  • $1.50 each = $115 for 200 decals 

  • Need to reach out to Bergdale’s to see if they can carry this out 


BOLTING COMMITTEE

  • All the new hardwear is now powder coated

  • We are set with inventory for the year now

  • Had training day putting in and taking out glue in bolts 

  • Moving forward we will have glue in bolts in granite


Potential Trail Day Ideas

  • Any inputs from the community?

    • Staircase at the moss going up to Dark Side

    • Bridge going to Darkside

  • Bunny Slopes belay area

  • Nacho wall re-routing and steps

  • We will reach out to Northern Hills FS and see if they are interested in a trail day with us, if they are not psyched we will not do an official trail day up there

  • Reach out to coalition if you are out hiking/climbing and see a place that needs to be worked on
